| The Mil Mi-28 helicopter is manufactured by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and known as HAVOC.
Mi-28 can fly at a maximum speed of 300 km / h. It can fly rearwards and sideways at speed up to 100 km / h. The development of the helicopter Mi-28 was late because of
insufficient fanancing . First flown in November 1982 and in service in January 1988 , in May 1989 helicopter Mi-28 for the first time was shown aboard at the 38 international
aerospace exhibition in Paris ( Paris Air Show ) The crew of the helicopter consist of two person. The pilot seated in the higher rear compartment and the navigator / systems officer sit in the front compartment. The operator in the forward cabin provides search, detection, and destruction. The helicopter has non-retractable tricycle tail-wheel type landing gear. The Mi-28 has a fully armoured cabin, including the windshield, which withstand impact by 7.62 and 12.7 mm bullets. The Mil Mi-28A has small swept-back , mid-mounted stub-wings with four suspension units. The Mil Mi-28N Night Havoc , Night Havoc helicopter retains most of the structure design of the Mi-28A . The main difference is the installation of an integrated electronic combat system. Electronic Combat is the microwave radar antenna,mounted above the rotor head, and a forward looking infrared ( FLIR ) . Other includes new main gearbox , new high-efficiency blades. The main rotor consist of five blades and made from composite material , the tail rotor consist of four blades with an X shape. The engine of the Mi-28A helicopter is powered by two TV3-117VMA turboshaft engines. | ||
