SUKHOI Su-80
 
          Su-80 is the Multipurpose Aircraft for Regional and Feeder Airlines. The aircraft is manufactured by Sukhoi joint-stock company and Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association (KnAAPO).
          Sukhoi Design Bureau is one of the largest Russian companies having experience in designing of the advanced airplanes. Those aircrafts such as Su-33, Su-34, Su-35 and Su-37 aircraft.
          KnAAPO is one of the largest Russian aircraft production associations. KnAAPO is the highest capability Russian manufacturer of the tactical fleet made of Su-27, Su-27SK, Su-33 and Su-35 aircraft.
          The Su-80 is a high wings airplane with two beams shape tail which formed tail fins and stabilizer. The beams house the engines and landing gear legs. The landing gear is three-wheeled with nose wheel, in-flight retractable. The fuselage is pressurized and support the wings. The crew door, passenger doors and cargo door at the rear are provided. The Su-80 aircraft is fitted with two General Electric CT7-9B turboprops and four-bladed Hamilton Standard Division 14RF-35 propellers. The aircraft’s main flight control system is mechanical and is driven by the system of rods and cables. Aileron and rudder trimmer control is an electrical remote control system. Sukhoi-80 (Su-80) could be also used for dealing with a wide range of different variants. Su-80GP (cargo/passenger variant), Su-80P (passenger), Su-80PT (patrol/transport).           Aircraft certification is scheduled in the end of 2004.
