| Tupolev TU-204 is a medium range , single-aisle passenger airplane made its first flight
on January 1989. TU-204 is the first Russian passenger aircraft which equipped with digital flight control fly-by-wire system. It is designed to replace the TU-154 and
to compete with B-757 and A-321 on international Market. TU-204 may fitted with Rolls Royce engines and as well as domestic PS-90A . TU-204-300 is a derivertive of TU-204-100 with shorten by 6 meters fuselage . High level of automatics allows crew of two operate aircraft on routes up to 9250 km. Flight data is displayed on six color monitors with satellite guidance system . The development began in early 90's. First airplane was under assembly at Uljanovsk Aviastar Factory but the production was frozen in 1996 and start again in early 2000. On 19 September 2001 , Rolls Royce announced at Beijing Aviation Expo ,Chaina selected Rolls Royce engine to power Russian TUPOLEV TU-204 and up to 15 of Tupolev TU-204 aircraft , five firm orders for TU-204-120C ( Cargo ). The first aircraft is scheduled to enter service in late 2002. AirCairo was the first airlines operator that operated with RB211-535E4.TU-204-120 with Rolls Royce RB211-535E4 engines and Western avionics package is manufacturing in Ulyanovsk at the Aviastar JSC. One aircraft is built for President of Russia. | ||
