Su-30

SUKHOI Su-30 is the multi-role two seat (in tandem) intercept fighter combat and training aircraft based on one of the most advanced fighter of Russian Air Force, Su-27UB (two-seat trainer). The Su-30 is a highly aerodynamic, intrgrated twin-finned aircraft. The airframe is constructed of titanium and high strength aluminum alloys. The Su-30 was developed in 1977 by the Sukoi Experimental Design Bureau in Moscow. The aircraft manufactured at Irkutsk Aircraft Production Association. The first flew in December 1989, and entered service with the Russian Air Force in 1992.
The Variants of Sukhoi Su-30s as follows:
Su-30 ,Two seat long range, long endurance intercepter based on the Su-27UB.
Su-30K , Improved Su-30 with in-flight refueling capability, strengthen structure and greater range.
Su-30M , Upgraded multi-role with ground attack capability and able to carry a wide range of air-to-ground weapons.
           Su-30MK , Export version of Su-30M.
The early Su-30 and Su-30K models are optimized for long-endurance missions of 10 hours. These aircraft are also fitted with a radiolocation system that allows them to transmitt the positions of up to 10 targets to four other aircraft simultaneously and designating targets to be attacked by other aircraft. The later version , Su-30M model is the multi-role that adds precision ground attack capability and the ability to carry a wide range of advanced guided bombs and missiles. Sukoi has export model which designated Su-30MK.
In November 1996 , India has ordered 40 of these aircraft which designed Su-30MKI . India has 28 baseline aircraft and 12 with canards and vectored thrust nozzles for improved maneuverability. In October 2000 , MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed confirming that Moscow grant a licence for the production of another 140 Sukhoi Su-30MKI to India and manufactured at HAL. In September 1998 ,India signed a deal for 10 additional Su-30s, originally for Indonesia, bring the total number to 50 .
In June 1999 Russia agreed to sell 72 of Sukhoi Su-30 to China which desinated Su-30MKK . Moscow may grant a licence for the production of another 250 Sukhoi Su-30MKK to china.
